IB Diploma Programme: Details about IBDP curriculum and admission process of ABWA

Preparation for the DP

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and its structure ensures that students from all curriculum can join and blend in well. There is no additional preparation required for a student to be successful within the DP. The students have the flexibility to choose six subjects, three at the higher level and three at the standard level. It is recommended that the students choose the subject that they wish to pursue during their graduation. The teaching and learning within the subject groups helps the students to build the skills required for success.

Advantages of DP at Aditya Birla World Academy

Aditya Birla World Academy is one of the few IBDP Schools in Mumbai. It is also considered as one of the best international schools in Mumbai. The student-teacher ratio is restricted to 1:15. This helps the students receive adequate academic support from the faculty. The faculty at ABWA are experienced and IB trained. The core components of the DP namely TOK, CAS and EE are built into the student's weekly schedule. The DP assessment calendar helps students to pace their internal assessment submissions throughout the two years.

The students are supported by the special educators and the pastoral care team. This helps them develop a robust study-schedule and supports their emotional wellbeing. The extracurricular activities, co-curricular activities, international competitions, inter-school competitions and the internship program aids the holistic development of students. The school also focuses on skill development through the Callido sessions.
