Aeka Chatra from grade 7, participated at the Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Associations (MSAAA) 43rd Junior and 33rd Sub-Junior State Aquatic Championships at Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai held from 3 to 5 June 2016. 

Aeka represented the Mumbai district and won the Individual Championship in her age group with 6 gold medals in total.

She set 3 new records in the 50m butterfly stroke, 50m and 100m backstroke in her individual events while clocking better than the national record timing in the 50m butterfly stroke.
