It was indeed a proud moment for all members of the Aditya Birla World Academy as they were witness to the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2018 with 33 graduates of IBDP and 25 graduates of A-level. The ceremony was held at Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Auditorium on the 5th of April’ 2018 at 3.30 p.m. The gathering was cordially welcomed by Mr. Parag Yadav and Ms. Saroj Raman.

The Chairperson, Ms. Neerja Birla addressed the students and applauded them on their successful journey in school. She explained the value of relationships and encouraged them to prioritize those over accumulating wealth. Mr. Arnab Goswami, managing director of news channel Republic TV, was the special guest for the evening. In his address, Mr. Goswami drew examples from the animal world and recounted that while the leopard is known for being fast, elephant is known for its size and the horse is known for its speed, it is the swiftness of the deer that helps it to change direction and evade getting caught. Mr. Goswami encouraged the students to emulate this ability of the deer and insisted that for succeeding in today’s competitive world it is very important to adapt, to change approach, and even to diversify.

The Principal Ms. Radhika Sinha’s address to the students was inspiring and momentous as she presented the graduating class of 2018 to the audience. The Head Boy, Mst. Varun Merchant administered the pledge to the fellow students, and it was an awe-inspiring moment for all the mentors to witness. The IBDP – Head, Ms. Shalini John and the Secondary and A Level Head, Ms. Franak Bandekar, recounted their experiences with the students and wished them the best for their ventures. The valedictorian speeches were given by Ms. Hiya Sanghvi and Mst. Dhruv Gosar and their words brought tears and smiles to the faces of all present.

The students were presented with a graduation certificate and they solemnized the occasion by lighting the candles. Ms. Saroj Raman presented the vote of thanks and that brought the august gathering to a close.
