He said that post the World War 2 era, the world is facing many changes. The power that the UN had is weaning. He spoke about the world issues such as the Impending trade war between US and China, the conflict initiated by President of the United States Donald Trump, has been characterised by increasing tariffs and other trade barriers with the goal of forcing China to make changes to what the U.S says are unfair trade practices. The 2019 Hongkong protests, also known as the Anti Extradition Law Amendment Bill movement, are an ongoing series of demonstrations in Hong Kong, China which began with the aim to oppose the introduction of the Fugitive Offenders amendment bill proposed by the Hong Kong government. The 9/11 attack on the north tower of the World Trade Centre in New York city. Lastly, he wished everyone great success with these debates and told them to find out solutions to the world problems, bring a change in this world and make a better place to live in.

After the opening ceremony the students went to their respective committees. Each committee started with an opening statement and then began the debate. It was such a pride to see the ABWA students discussing the global issues with the students of other schools. The delegates of different committees discussed passionately and stood strongly by the country’s beliefs. The committees discussed about the world’s most pressing problems- The Brexit, Chinese Debt Diplomacy, The Iranian Hostage Crisis and the ownership of the Kohinoor Diamond. It was a good learning experience for the students. ABMUN was a simulation of high standard of debate and discussion which instilled in young delegates the ethos of collaboration and unity. It gave them the courage to be activist for salient global affairs. This platform has definitely equipped the students with the deftness to face any challenges with reason, confidence, intellect, skill and find out optimistic and realistic solutions to the world’s vast miscellany of problems.
