Mother Nature

It’s always all around you,
There for one and all
It comes in all sizes,
Even big or small

It never seeks attention
Yet always gets it through
The few nature lovers,
Who don’t let it run askew?

Its beauty is right there for us,
For those who have the time
For those who are not blind
But alas! They’re very few

For we do not sit and stare
At the dew drops twinkling in the light
Like little diamonds showing us a beautiful sight

We do not smell the scent
Of the flowers that God had to invent
To make a pleasing sight
To keep the world without any blight.

And when we’re always sad
And it’s always raining like mad
We do not see the rainbow
That chases away the gloom
And lights up the room.

And when we want to cry
To beat our arms and die
We never sit and wait
To be silent like the night, to hear
The rushing of a river
Or the gurgling of a stream
That wakes us from our reverie
And makes us calm and serene

We never see the variety,
Of nature’s beauty
The different shapes and sizes
Subtly doing their duty

But it will never be the same
For it is depleting at a rate that will drive you insane
And in the end will come regret
To see no beauty will make us upset

We will suffer
We did not see it more
We just let it go more and more sore

So now I say,
It’s not too late
If we try hard and put everything at stake
We can make sure that the world will no longer take
So we can prosper for centuries galore
Not having to worry anymore.
