Edutainment days

15 and 16 October 2008
Education becomes more relevant if there is an element of fun involved in it. With this in mind the school organised a two-day edutainment extravaganza for the students. The programme exposed the children to a hands-on learning experience in creative arts like pottery, block printing and warli painting. The children also watched the classic movie Escape to Victory. Guest speakers were also specially invited to interact with students.

15 October 2008
The programme started with Colonel Lalit Rai, a recipient of Vir Chakra, with a talk on the Kargil War.

Col. Lalit Rai was awarded the Vir Chakra for bravery of an exceptional order and inspirational leadership during the toughest battle in the Batalik region of the Kargil war. His experiences of the Kargil war made a stirring impact on the young minds of the listeners.

16 October 2008

Interaction involved a lively chat with Mr. Boman Irani, a self professed photographer, an accomplished theatre artist and one of the most loved entertainers of Hindi cinema. His dynamic personality and humble nature touched the hearts of the students.

Mr. Irani had an intense and meaningful discussion with the students. He talked about how bullies are actually cowards and how one should never give up on one's dreams. He also talked about professional ethics and ended his chat with a beautiful song.
