An integrated curriculum, with fun-filled activity
and a hands on approach to learning makes
school an enjoyable experience. The teaching-learning
process is child-oriented and focuses on active
and joyful learning.
The Cambridge Primary Programme (CPP) provides
a framework for teaching the core subjects of English,
Mathematics and Science. Curriculum is integrated, according
to international standards and parameters thereby allowing
the students to think laterally.
Teaching and learning outcomes are reflected through
innovative assessment techniques. It helps to identify
a students strength and area for improvement, which
can be used to support learning and development. A wide
range of teaching strategies and curricula encourage
the use of local, national and international mindedness.
At ABWA, we make the learning experiential, active and
holistic.
Thus the CPP progresses students seamlessly into the
middle years curricula, such as the Cambridge Lower
Secondary Programme and the IGCSE Programme.
The Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme is a framework
for educational success for students approximately 11
14 years old. It builds on the Primary stage
and develops childrens knowledge and skills in
Mathematics, English and Science and is integrated with
other curricula to suit our Indian values.
The Lower Secondary Programme also offers schools a
means of tracking student progress through the lower
secondary phase, with an integrated package of teaching,
learning and assessment tools. The Programme also provides
excellent preparation for students embarking on the
IGCSE course.
Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary
Education (IGCSE) offers a flexible course of study
to pupils and gives the freedom to choose subjects that
are right for them, whilst providing a broad knowledge
base and lifelong skills. Within the curriculum there
is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical
knowledge.
We are authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate
Diploma Programme, which is a challenging two-year curriculum.
It leads to a qualification that is widely recognised
by the worlds leading universities. Students learn
more than a collection of facts. The Programme encourages
them to develop a strong sense of identity and culture
and at the same time understand things with a global
perspective.
